I have written a letter to my local MP who promises to lobby parliament to make it law that all salmon fishermen must own this book.The same goes for the big green one too!!!!
 A good primer November 2, 2007
So much rubbish is written about fishing it is good to find a writer that is clear, direct and uncomplicated. This is the first book to read if starting out on salmon fishing.

Beautifully written prose interspersed with authoritative technical detail. Second only to his book on Sea Trout Fishing as the one book I would like to take with me to a desert island.

Without doubt the most informative book on "Salmo the leaper" ever written. Falkus manages to transfix the reader into the mysterious world of salmon and delivers his experiences with this most wonderful creature in a manner that will interest anglers and non-anglers alike .
