Kerrera - Location Map of Kerrera
Seen from most of Oban Kerrera is just over 6 miles long and is ideal for walking or cycling, you can of course take your car over on the ferry. The ferry journey takes only a few minutes and you will find this an easy island to visit. While there are no shops on the Island there is a Tea garden at the south end near Gylen Castle. The population of Kerrara is small, between 30-35 people. Accommodation on the Island is available in the Kerrera Bunkhouse.

Gylen Castle, on the southern part of the island of Kerrera was built in 1587 by the Clan MacDougall.

Kerrera Bunkhouse

The Bunkhouse sleeps up to 7 people, booking is advisable and details can be found on http://www.kerrerabunkhouse.co.uk/ The cost per person is very reasonable and the whole bunkhouse can be booked by a small group at a discount.
